The Battle Creek Housing Commission participates in providing housing
opportunities to veterans leaving the Veterans Administration Hospital who are
re-entering the community. Referrals to this housing program must come through
the Veterans Administration Hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Community Development Rehabs
Selected homes have been rehabilitated with funds from the City of Battle Creek
and turned over to the Housing Commission as rental units. They are single
family homes scattered throughout the city and available as a rental unit with
the option to purchase. This rental opportunity may also be coupled with the
Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program for eligible families.
